JustJared has leaked on set photos of Nicolas Cage (Knowing) and Jay Baruchel (Tropic Thunder) on set for The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. The film is inspired by Disney’s Fantasia and is directed by John Turtletaub (National Treasure).
First off, production literally just started, and that these are not official photos. I am sure some will make fun of Cage’s look here, but how else is he suppose to look as a modern day sorcerer? I bet its just his disguise in the movie, and he ends up looking totally different. So don’t jump the gun by already starting to make fun of Nicolas Cage . Though I can’t say that I am very excited for this movie. I am not a fan at all of John Turtletaub’s National Treasure series, I find those movies really mediocre. But I wouldn’t be surprised if this ends up being good, they seem to be going for what Enchanted did which was actually a pretty good movie. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 16th, 2010.
