Despite a few much-talked-about, long-gestating projects (Kill Bill Vol. 3 anyone?), it’s difficult to predict what Quentin Tarantino will tackle next. After helming Inglourious Basterds and his latest, Django Unchained (two films that actually work as nice counterparts), he still hasn’t confirmed what he’ll move on to — even if it’s only a few more projects. This morning, however, we’ve got a small hint at what it may be. Speaking at BAFTA in London last night for the Django‘s first UK showing, the director revealed a potential future project.
During a post-screening Q&A he told the crowd, “I could conceive maybe someday doing a 30′s gangster picture, or something like that. I could think of doing another western, actually.” After tackling certain eras in American history with his recent films, I would love to see what he could do in the Great Depression crime arena. And while I can’t reveal much about Django Unchained, another western would be mighty fine as well. Check back for more information as Tarantino makes the extensive press rounds this month before Django‘s Christmas release. [Bleeding Cool]
