The master of shlock, Roger Corman, has got his own documentary. After influencing a breadth of filmmakers and actors from Francis Ford Coppola to James Cameron to Martin Scorsese & Robert De Niro (both featured in this trailer), have been heavily influenced by the legend, director Alex Stapleton has set out to provide an account of his life.
While getting his start with films like The Little Shop of Horrors and Joe Dante‘s Piranha, at 85-years-old today, the icon is still producing films with Dinoshark, Dinocroc vs. Supergator and Sharktopus being his latest work. We saw the documentary at New York Film Festival, stating it is “wholeheartedly an appreciation” of the “unfathomable” amount of work the man was behind.
