Ashley Hinshaw has been hitting the Hollywood jackpot after starring in Chronicle earlier this year. After lining up a few project, the young actress is keeping busy with a few more to add to the pile, signing on to star in both Deserted Cities and Goodbye to All That. [Variety]
For Cities, she’ll be joining Gael Garcia Bernal, who will be starring with Roberto Sneider providing the directing talent for La Banda Films. The project is an adaptation of Jose Agustin‘s novel, which follows “a female Mexican writer fleeing her home to attend an international workshop in the U.S. leaving her husband behind in Mexico.” Hinshaw will be playing the role of a women who works in the writer’s workshop.
As for the latter film mentioned, Paul Schneider, Judy Greer and Kathryn Hahn have already been attached with Angus MacLachlan directing from a script he also wrote. The project “revolves around a recently divorced dad who tries to start a new life with his daughter.” We haven’t gotten word what role Hinshaw has booked for this project, but shooting starts this month.
Hinshaw‘s latest project, About Cherry, hit a limited release last month, which she starred in alongside James Franco and Heather Graham. She’ll be seen next in the biopic, Snake and Mongoose, out sometime next year.
