Although there’s a full month to go until 2014 actually ends, a few individuals and groups have begun chiming in on their favorites of the year. The latest is the first critics group out of the gate: the New York Film Critics Circle. Perhaps making up for last year‘s Best Picture choice, they’ve given top honors to Richard Linklaters Boyhood, which also picked up Best Director and Best Supporting Actress.

The Immigrant also (finally) got recognized amongst the year-end chatter, with Marion Cotillard earning Best Actress for her performance there, alongside Two Days, One Night, while it also grabbed Best Cinematography. Other winners included The Grand Budapest Hotel for Best Screenplay, Best Foreign Language Film for Ida, and Best First Feature for The Babadook. Check out the full list below as the awards season continues to gear up.
