For most talk show hosts, the rapid-fire, daily schedule seemingly consumes much of their free time, but for Craig Ferguson, it looks to be just one aspect of his busy life. The host of CBS’ The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is not only involved in the TV world, but according to a story out of The Hollywood Reporter, he has big screen ambitions.
While he’s acted in a few films as of late (notably lending his voice to Brave, How to Train Your Dragon and more), Ferguson has also found time to script a revenge thriller alongside fellow Late Show co-worker Ted Mulkerin. An adaptation of Stuart Neville‘s revenge thriller The Twelve, the film is titled Last Man Out and already has lined up Pierce Brosnan to star.
Directed by Terry Loane, Ferguson is on board as producer in the story of a “former IRA hit-man who, released from prison after serving 20 years for murder, is haunted by the memory of his past victims. He can find no peace until he takes revenge on their behalf.” It’s not exactly the kind of light material I’d expect to see Ferguson take on, but with additional casting underway for a 2013 shoot, we’ll see this one sooner rather than later.
