TV’s most awkwardly charming couple is coming to the bigscreen, as Deadline reports Parks & Recreation star Amy Poehler is set to join Adam Scott in the upcoming comedy A.C.O.D. In his directorial debut, Stu Zicherman directs an ensemble cast, which also includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jane Lynch, Richard Jenkins, and the newly added Catherine O’Hara and Jessica Alba.

An acronym for Adult Children of Divorce, Zicherman also co-wrote the script with Colbert Report co-creator Ben Karlin, which “centers on Carter (Scott), a man scarred by his parents’ divorce, who’s forced to reunite them when his brother gets engaged.” Poehler joins the film as the new wife of Richard Jenkins, and will battle his ex-wife (O’Hara). Alba’s role is currently unknown.

With these new additions, this is one of the strongest casts for an upcoming comedy that we’ve got. Poehler hasn’t shown her face in too many feature films, rather opting for many animations. It’ll be nice to see her here, along with O’Hara (speaking of, when are we getting a new Christopher Guest film?), as well as Alba, who could certainly use some help getting back in the spotlight.

Production kicks off next week in Atlanta for a likely 2013 release.
