The deadly serious trailer for the robot boxing movie Real Steel arrived a few months ago and now it has two new posters to match. Hugh Jackman is present in both, matching the action of the robot he is controlling in Shawn Levy‘s upcoming blockbuster. It still looks incredibly silly and the taglines don’t help. Check them out below for the film also starring Dakota Goyo, Kevin Durand, Anthony Mackie and Evangeline Lilly.

Synopsis:

Hugh Jackman plays Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.

Real Steel hits theaters October 7th, 2011.

After a batch of six character posters last night (one above), we now have three new one-sheets to match the very first featuring Ryan Gosling. We’ve babbled on about Nicolas Winding Refn‘s fantastic thriller enough, so just check them out below featuring Christina Hendricks, Oscar Isaacs and Ron Perlman.

Synopsis:

Driver is a Los Angeles wheelman for hire, stunt driving for movie productions by day and steering getaway vehicles for armed heists by night. Though a loner by nature, Driver can’t help falling in love with his beautiful neighbor Irene, a vulnerable young mother dragged into a dangerous underworld by the return of her ex-convict husband Standard. After a heist intended to pay off Standard’s protection money spins unpredictably out of control, Driver finds himself driving defense for the girl he loves, tailgated by a syndicate of deadly serious criminals. But when he realizes that the gangsters are after more than the bag of cash in his trunk – that they’re coming straight for Irene and her son – Driver is forced to shift gears and go on offense.

Drive hits theaters September 16th, 2011.
