With the continual flood of useless found-footage movies it is easy to dismiss the sub-genre as whole, but lets not forget some of the greats. One of those is Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza’s [REC]. Downright scary, the duo put you right into the most frightening night you’ll ever have at a fire station. After a sequel, they shot two more films back-to-back. I was unsure where they’d go story-wise, but [REC] 3 Genesis looks to at least have an interesting foundation. We have the first international trailer today (sorry, no subs) which pits the crisis at the wedding. Check it out below and get ready for [REC] Apocalypse, which judging by the poster, it will pack 10 times the insanity found below.
Expect a release next year for the film, but no US distributor has come on board yet.
