Returning from the mixed bag that was Funny People, last fall we heard Judd Apatow was planning his next comedy for a summer 2012 release. Then, earlier this year, it was revealed that the film follows Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd‘s Knocked Up characters. It would be “just a story from Pete and Debbie’s current life.” Apatow didn’t reveal any details, only that “people really responded to their characters and problems. I felt like there was a lot of ground I could explore with them.”

Then came the casting of Megan Fox, who is confirmed, and Albert Brooks, who is still rumored. Coming Soon now reports a possible title, This is Forty. While it hasn’t been confirmed by Universal, it seems to fit with Apatow’s semi-autobiographical films. We saw a bit in Funny People, but Apatow himself has entered his forties a few years ago. His wife, and star of the film, will hit 40 by the time of release and Rudd is currently 42. One could assume the title has to do with a pre-mid-life crisis. Check back for more details and confirmation.

The comedy will hit theaters June 1st, 2012.

What do you think about the title? Are you looking forward the next Apatow film?
