This morning we’ve got a batch of posters highlighting the release of well-received 2012 festival films, as well as some major May blockbusters. First up, we’ll get to our most-anticipated of the bunch, as new UK quad posters have landed for one Cannes premiere and another fall festival film. Above one can see a bikini-wearing, gun-toting (a common theme for our characters) Ashley Benson in Harmony Korine‘s Spring Breakers, thanks to Total Film. Read our glowing TIFF review of that film here, and then below (via Empire) one can see a new poster for Jeff Nichol‘s Take Shelter follow-up Mud. We were fans of the film at Cannes (review) and as one can see, this film brings together Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon and Sam Shepard.
Spring Breakers hits on March 15th, while Mud slides into theaters on April 26th.
When it comes to the summer, it wouldn’t be the blockbuster season without sequels and with them comes an array of character posters. While it’s only the second month of the new year, studios are already eager to get marketing of their tentpole offerings out in front of audiences and today brings new one-sheets from two May films, Iron Man 3 and Fast & Furious 6. First up, below, one can see Paul Walker next to his car in a similar style of our first poster featuring Vin Diesel. Then we have two character posters for Shane Black‘s film, one featuring Don Cheadle as Iron Patriot and another of Guy Pearce as geneticist Aldrich Killian. Check them out below.
Fast & Furious Six lands on May 24th.
Iron Man 3 arrives May 3rd.
