After seeing such memorable pimps on screen as Taxi Driver‘s Harvey Keitel, True Romance‘s Gary Oldman and even The Other Guys‘ Will Ferrell (if we’re getting into reformed territory), a new documentary dives into the life of one of the world’s most influential real-life figures and we’ve got the first trailer today.
Coming from director Jorge Hinojosa, Iceberg Slim: Portrait of a Pimp features interviews from the subject himself, as well as Ice-T, Chris Rock, Snoop Dogg, Henry Rollins and Quincy Jones. While the trailer seems to be an entertaining examination of the legendary Chicago pimp, let’s hope it doesn’t glorify his actions while in the illegal business. Check it out below ahead of a release next month.
