It’s been two long months since I twice took in Paul Thomas Anderson‘s latest feature, and there’s rarely a day that goes by where I can’t wait to jump into this world again. With the year’s best ensemble — from break-out star Katherine Waterston to Josh Brolin further proving his comedic chops — Inherent Vice is a deeply rich ode to a passing era.
With a limited release next week, then expanding wide come early January, Warner Bros. have now released their press kit, which brings forth a total of 50 images — some old, the vast majority new — featuring both official stills and peeks behind the scenes. We also have the first clip from the movie which Martin Short premiered while stopping by Jimmy Fallon. I’d encourage one not to check it out if you’re planning to see as it takes place over halfway through the film, but if you’re somehow on the fence, it can be viewed below, following by the batch of images. One can also see our review, listen to the soundtrack, and more here.
Inherent Vice opens on December 12th and expands on January 9th.
