We’re just about a month away from what’s shaping up to be one, if not the most ambitious film of year, the Wachowskis and Tom Tykwer‘s multi-generation spanning Cloud Atlas. We weighed in on the film in Toronto with some rapturous praise and now Warner Bros. has kicked up their marketing with the first TV spot. While only revealing a few bits of new footage, it displays a few quotes from some friends around the internet. One can see it below, as well as the full press conference from TIFF (but perhaps you’ll want to bookmark it for after October 26th). Check them out for the film starring Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Sturgess, Susan Sarandon, Ben Whishaw, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Grant, James D’Arcy and Keith David across different time periods.
Synopsis:
“Cloud Atlas” explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future. Action, mystery and romance weave dramatically through the story as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution in the distant future.
