Coming off their most financially successful animation yet with Frozen, Disney are back this year and this time they’re teaming with their next-biggest brand, Marvel. Based on the comics by Steven T. Seagle and Duncan Rouleau, Big Hero 6 follows “robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who learns to harness his genius—thanks to his brilliant brother Tadashi and their like-minded friends: adrenaline junkie Go Go Tamago, clean freak Wasabi No-Ginger, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred.”
The first teaser has landed today, which doesn’t show off the main conflict as they must band together to protect the streets of San Fransokyo, but rather displays our lead character and his creation, a cutting-edge robot named Baymax. Directed by Don Hall (Winnie the Pooh) and Chris Williams (Bolt), it’s difficult to judge anything based on this brief footage, but hopefully it’ll be an inventive feature. Check out the teaser and poster below for the film featuring the voices of T. J. Miller, Jamie Chung, and Maya Rudolph.
Big Hero 6 opens on November 7th, 2014.
