This afternoon we’ve got the first look at two very difference romantic dramas. First up, Michael Caine is back in Paris, but not living a happy life, going from cafe to cafe as seen in The Dark Knight Rises. This time he plays a lonely widow who finds new love with a younger women in a small independent drama. Directed by Sandra Nettelbeck (Helen, Mostly Martha), Caine leads Mr. Morgan’s Last Love, which also stars In Bruges and 127 HoursClémence Poésy, as well as Gillian Anderson, Justin Kirk, Jane Alexander and Anne Alvaro.

Next up, we’ve got a look at a major studio romantic drama with Safe Haven. The latest in the long line of Nicholas Sparks adaptation, this one actually has some solid directorial talent attached with Lasse Hallström, who last gave us Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, as well as Chocolat, The Cider House Rules and the hit Dear John. The below photos feature our leads Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel, but Cobie Smulders is also part of the cast. Check out the stills below via Yahoo Movies/HeyUGuys.

Safe Haven arrives on February 8th, while Mr. Morgan’s Last Love will likely pop up on the festival circuit in 2013.
