It wouldn’t be the summer movie season without a handful of superhero films. While Disney Marvel will be kicking things off shortly with Avengers: Age of Ultron, 20th Century Fox will deliver their reboot of Fantastic Four, which comes from Chronicle director Josh Trank.
Following the first teaser earlier this year, the full-length one has now arrived, which shows off a great deal of new footage. We get to see some of the humor injected here, along with an origin story in the truest sense of the idea. There’s also our first look at a new Dr. Doom, played by Toby Kebbell. Made up of Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, and Jamie Bell, check out the trailer and poster below.
FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
Fantastic Four opens on August 7th.
