While it doesn’t seem to be arriving with the same amount of fervor as last year’s Blue Jasmine, we’re still looking forward to the latest work from Woody Allen, Magic in the Moonlight. Returning to Europe, the drama finds Allen heading back to the 1920’s and 30’s, tracking Colin Firth‘s character as he sets out to disprove a seemingly fraudulent mystic (Emma Stone).
Ahead of a release near the end of the month a new batch of images have arrived which not only show off our leads, but the strong supporting cast of Hamish Linklater, Jacki Weaver, Marcia Gay Harden and Simon McBurney. These publicity stills don’t quite have the sheen of Darius Khondji as seen in the trailer, but it’s enough to remind us the summer still has some promising options remaining. Check them all out below along with two inept posters while Allen has already begun production on his next feature.
Magic in the Moonlight opens on July 25th.
