One can’t help but be a little upset at The Weinstein Company and their upcoming fall slate (or lack thereof). While the usual prestige pictures are aplenty, they haven’t said a peep about what they’re doing with a few of our most-anticipated titles, namely Snowpiercer, The Immigrant and Jean-Pierre Jeunet‘s The Young and Prodigious Spivet. Today brings another reminder of the lack of news for the lattermost title, as a new international trailer has arrived.

Set to hit France theaters next month in IMAX, the 3D film follows a boy, T. S. Spivet (Kyle Catlett), who travels from his country home in Montana to the Smithsonian on what looks like to be a wild adventure. Jeunet looks to have crafted a more all-audience friendly work with this one (perhaps a reason it’s not at the fall fest), but still with his inventive touch, so hopefully we get distribution news soon. Check out the new trailer below via Twitch for the film also starring Helena Bonham Carter, Kathy Bates, and Callum Keith Rennie.

The Young and Prodigious Spivet opens next month in France.
