January/February is approaching, which means we get our required “Liam Neeson being completely bad-ass film.” After Taken and Unknown, the third in this psuedo-trilogy that I’m making up is Joe Carnahan‘s The Grey. The Narc director reteams with his star of the A-Team, for this gritty survival story. After a first teaser, we have a brand-new trailer (via Moviefone) that follows the structure of an earlier leaked one. The visuals are great, Neeson is at his most ruthless yet (except, maybe, Schindler’s List) and there are wolves. What more could you ask for? Check it out below for the film also starring Dallas Roberts, James Badge Dale, Dermot Mulroney and Frank Grillo.

Synopsis:

A group of oil-rig roughnecks are left stranded on the sub-arctic tundra after their plane experiences a complete mechanical failure and crashes into the remote Alaskan wilderness. The survivors, battling mortal injuries, biting cold and ravenous hunger, are relentlessly hunted and pursued by a vicious pack of rogue wolves.

The Grey hits theaters January 27th, 2012.
