After a variety of directors were considered for the next film in the James Bond series (including Nicolas Winding Refn, Ang Lee, Tom Hooper, David Yates and Shane Black), longtime 007 producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have found their man and they are staying in familiar territory. Revealed today in a press release, Skyfall director Sam Mendes is officially set to return, along with Daniel Craig, after their previous collaboration resulted in the most successful Bond of all-time, pulling in $1.1 billion.

We’ve also got a release date for the untitled film scripted by John Logan, as those in the U.K. will get it early once again. Bond 24 is set for an October 23rd, 2015 bow there, while it will arrive in the U.S. just a couple of weeks later, on November 6th, 2015. As we await further details, for those that want to see what Mendes is up to in the meantime, watch the trailer below and his quote on returning to the franchise.

“I am very pleased that by giving me the time I need to honour all my theatre commitments, the producers have made it possible for me to direct Bond 24. I very much look forward to taking up the reins again, and to working with Daniel Craig, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for a second time.”
