Travis Knight, the head of the stop-motion animation studio Laika, is finishing up his Transformers film Bumblebee, but that doesn’t mean the company has taken a break. Following up Knight’s directorial debut Kubo and the Two Strings, they’ll return this spring with Missing Link, a new adventure from ParaNorman director Chris Butler.

Featuring the voice cast of Hugh Jackman, Zoe Saldana, Zach Galifianakis, Timothy Olyphant, Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry, Matt Lucas, Amrita Acharia, and David Walliams, the first trailer has now arrived today. The story follows a bigfoot-esque creature who has more heart than his physical appearance may lead on. The trailer certainly hews closer to marketing to the kind of demographic that will show up for The Grinch this weekend, but hopefully there’s more imagination in store when it comes to the final film.

Check out the preview below.

Meet Mr. Link: 8 feet tall, 630 lbs, and covered in fur, but don’t let his appearance fool you… he is funny, sweet, and adorably literal, making him the world’s most lovable legend. Tired of living a solitary life in the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Link recruits fearless explorer Sir Lionel Frost to guide him on a journey to find his long-lost relatives in the fabled valley of Shangri-La. Along with adventurer Adelina Fortnight, our fearless trio of explorers encounter more than their fair share of peril as they travel to the far reaches of the world to help their new friend.

Missing Link opens on April 19, 2019.
