After getting a listen at Rick Ross‘ track for Django Unchained, two more works from the official soundtrack have rolled in. But before we get to that, we’ve got an update on a future Quentin Tarantino project that will likely never see the day. After teasing a Great Depression era gangster film last week, the director gave We Got This Covered a strong hint that we’ll never see the complete Kill Bill trilogy. Speaking at a press event in Canada he said, “I don’t know if there’s ever going to be a Kill Bill. Vol 3. We’ll see, probably not though.” Despite playing a different tune at Comic-Con this summer, I’d much rather see him take on original projects and so let’s move on to just that.
We’ve got two new tracks from his upcoming OST for his “southern” adventure. First up a remix used in the film has landed, which pairs 2Pac‘s Untouchable with James Brown‘s The Payback. Then we’ve got John Legend’s original song Who Did That To You and both seem like they could find in the world of Tarantino, and judging from the soundtrack list, they each pop up near the end of the film. That’s not all though, as The Weinstein Company have released two new TV spots which feature bit of new footage. Check out everything below for the film starring Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson.
Django Unchained opens on Christmas Day.
