The surprise of a lifetime was recently revealed, as Paramount announced a spin-off to the Jackass franchise, surrounding Johnny Knoxville‘s Grandpa character, was arriving in feature film form this fall. With 2010’s Jackass 3-D raking in a mammoth $170 million-plus worldwide, we always knew this day would come and now our first footage has been unveiled.

Much to our bewilderment, the film is actually includes a narrative, as we follow Knoxville as 86 year-old Irving Zisman on a journey across America with his 8 year-old Grandson Billy (Jackson Nicoll). With spliced in hidden camera footage, the first trailer delivers everything you’d expect, including funeral home and child beauty pageant mishaps and more. Check out the preview below and let us know if you believe they can sustain this joke for a feature-length running time, in the comments.

Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa opens on October 25th.
