While his drama Child 44 came and went, Tom Hardy will take part in a number of highly-anticipated projects throughout the year, leading up to The Revenant in December, and today brings trailers for all the ones in between. First up, we have the debut trailer for the forthcoming gangster drama Legend. Coming from writer-director Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential), the story follows Hardy taking on the dual roles of twins Ron and Reggie Kray and their reign of crime in the 1960’s as told in John Pearson’s book The Profession of Violence.
Also featuring Emily Browning, David Thewlis, Christopher Eccleston, Chazz Palminteri, Tara Fitzgerald, and Taron Egerton, it looks like an intense, well-shot drama we’re looking forward to getting stateside. Legend will hit U.K. theaters on September 11th. As a bonus, watch Hardy (briefly) in the trailer for Rufus Norris‘ upcoming musical London Road, which hits theaters on June 12th, as well as the final trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road.
