The LA Times had a chance to talk to Paramount vice president Rob Moore and during their discussion Moore confirmed that a sequel to G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra will soon be put into production. This comes as no surprise after Joe’s impressive box office take despite many harsh critical reviews. According to LA Times, all the lead actors are contracted for another film but director Stephen Sommers is not.
As I stated in my review of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra I did not completely hate the film. It did have an element of fun that made it some what enjoyable. I’ll be interested in hearing more news about this sequel.
