Because both the original and the sequel were box office draws and because it’s Fox, there’s a third one already in pre-production set to be 3-Dimensional! [Gordon and the Whale]
If you’ll notice, Fox already has a release date set: December 16th, 2011.
This is the 3-D that feels monetary, unnecessary, hurtful to the eyes and the heart. There’s no stopping it, only enduring the pain. And maybe convincing those families that populate the theaters of these films to wait for a children’s film by someone like Dean DeBlois, director of Lilo & Stitch and How To Train Your Dragon.
