Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn‘s next superhero film is underway shooting in London and we have a new look as well as a few more details. X-Men: First Class has a stellar cast and ONTD has provided new set photos of Winter’s Bone breakout star Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique and Rose Byrne as Professor X’s right-hand women, Moira MacTaggert. James McAvoy can also be seen as a young Professor X, set against this 1960’s time period. Check out the photos below.

We also learned from Bleeding Cool (via GatW) that Matthew Vaughn is planning a shot-for-shot remake of the first scene from Bryan Singer‘s first X-Men film. This is the scene where we see young Eric Lensherr, using his early powers as Magneto. The sequence is the same “up to a point” but when it “does deviate, it’s with some very dramatic twists,” which we don’t know yet.

X-Men: First Class hits theaters June 3rd, 2011.
