The future of the what was once to be Nicole Holofcener’s I’m With Cancer (written by Will Reiser) is no longer up in the air. So to speak.

Anna Kendrick has joined James McAvoy and Seth Rogen in the project, now to be directed by Jonathan Levine, who gave us All The Boys Love Mandy Lane and The Wackness, both solid indie films in their own right (one horror, one comedy respectively).

Reiser’s script is based on his own experiences as a young man diagnosed with cancer. McAvoy will play the lead role, with Kendrick as a young, inexperienced psychologist. Rogen’s role has not yet been specified, but one would guess it involves humor of some sort.

Principal photography is set to begin in February in Vancouver and is being produced by Mandate International. [THR]
