We finally have the first real footage from the G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra. It premiered on Entertainment Tonight. The full trailer will be during the Super Bowl. Check it out below thanks to Firstshowing:
Plot: An elite military unit comprised of special operatives known as G.I. Joe, operating out of The Pit, takes on an evil organization led by a notorious arms dealer.
I must say it’s impressive. I’ve been weary of this movie, but it looks like it could be a fun blockbuster. It’s directed by Stephen Sommers who did Van Helsing and the first two Mummy films. It has a pretty impressive cast as well; Dennis Quaid, Sienna Miller, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Channing Tatum, and Marlon Wayans. G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra hits theaters August 7th, 2009.
