A few weeks back Soderbergh took on a play (called “Tot Mom”) in Sydney (yes, Australia), which he wrote. While down there, he also apparently shot an improvised film using much of the play’s cast.

The Sydney Morning Herald admitted as much in an article entitled “Soderbergh’s Surprise,” with one of the “Tot Mom” cast members calling it a “pretty much improvised film.” Presumably in the fast-shooting indie style of Soderbergh’s past films Bubble and more recent The Girlfriend Experience.

There’s no specific information on the film or its subject matter, but it does not appear to have much to with “Tot Mom,” which is “a drama based on the story of accused infanticide suspect Casey Anthony as presented by CourtTV and CNN personality Nancy Grace” [Slash Film].

I guess, for now, the whole secret film thing will have to be interesting enough, plot withstanding.
