As we previously reported, Sigourney Weaver has been tapped to star in Buried director Rodrigo Cortés’ next film and ABC news (via THR) has announced that Robert De Niro will be joining her for the film, titled Red Lights.
Weaver will be playing Margaret Matheson, a para-psychologist, who attempts to debunk De Niro’s character, a famous psychic. It should be exciting to see these two veterans (who have never starred together before) go head to head. The plot, however, seems a bit hokey but writer/director Cortés has definitely proven to be a filmmaker to watch out for!
Cortés’ current film, Buried, is in limited release now and should be expanding in the coming weeks.
