Once The Bop Decameron, then Nero Fiddled, and now To Rome with Love. Such is the title trajectory of Woody Allen‘s next, as Jeff Sneider has tweeted the new moniker of his Rome-set ensemble anthology film. Said ensemble is one of the best we’ve seen in recent years, being comprised of Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Allen, Penélope Cruz, Judy Davis, Jesse Eisenberg, Greta Gerwig, and Ellen Page.
Broken up into four segments, Rome will follow a husband and his wife who travel to Rome and meet the family of the Italian man their daughter is going to marry; then, a man named Leopoldo (Benigni) who gets mistaken for a movie star; third, an architect from California (Baldwin) visiting Rome with his friends; and, finally, two newlyweds who go to Rome in order to visit some relatives, but instead get lost in the city. But it’s a new Woody Allen movie we’re talking about here. Couldn’t this be about anything and still get most of us to buy a ticket?
To Rome with Love will open in limited release on June 22nd.
