Before viewing the below trailer, even with a gun to my head, I couldn’t name a single song from the boy band One Direction. But when it comes to tween-centered music documentaries, if Jon Chu can create an engaging portrait of Justin Bieber with his doc Never Say Never, I’m willing to give others the benefit of the doubt. We’ve got the first trailer today for the upcoming summer concert film surrounding the UK-based pop sensation and while it perhaps has the most off-putting title of the year with 1D3D (yes, worse than jOBS), there is some decent directorial talent attached with Super Size Me‘s Morgan Spurlock. Will this one simply cater to its intended audience or will Spurlock actually craft an interesting, kinetic piece? Check out the preview below and let us know what you think.
