It’s been about 9 months since we last got a trailer for the psychological thriller Berberian Sound Studio, but since then the film has gone to have a successful festival bow and international release. It’s finally on America’s doorsteps as IFC Films gears up for a summer debut and we’ve got a new look today with a domestic trailer.

Led by Toby Jones, the film from Peter Strickland gives the Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy actor his own Blow Out-esque role as he plays a sound engineer working for a horror maestro. Unnerving and full of fantastic visuals, we’ll definitely be keeping it on our radar next month. Check out trailer below for the film also starring Cosimo Fusco, Antonio Mancino, Fatma Mohamed, Salvatore Li Causi, Chiara D’Anna and Tonia Sotiropoulou.

Synopsis:

1976. A mild-mannered British sound engineer named Gilderoy (Toby Jones) arrives in Rome to work on the post-synchronized soundtrack to The Equestrian Vortex, a tale of witchcraft and murder set inside an all-girl riding academy. But as Gilderoy begins to work on this unexpectedly terrifying project, it’s his own mind that holds the real horrors. As the line between film and reality blurs, is Gilderoy working on a film—or in one?

Berberian Sound Studio arrives on June 14th.
