The franchise that keeps on ticking is back. After being delayed from this past summer due to the tragic death of Paul Walker, Universal Pictures regrouped and after resuming production, Furious 7 (its newly minted official title) will be arriving in theaters this April, kicking off the blockbuster season a bit early. With Justin Lin out as director, spending time on True Detective, another Bourne and piling up potential projects, the reigns were handed over to horror aficionado James Wan (The Conjuring, Insidious, Saw).
Our first look at the next iteration of the franchise will be arriving today in the form of a debut trailer, following a live chat with the cast. Also featuring Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, Lucas Black, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey, Nathalie Emmanuel, Kurt Russell and Jason Statham, check out some of the ensemble discussing the film below ahead of the trailer debut.
