It’s not necessarily a reboot, but the new iteration of Vacation travels quite a similar path (literally) when it comes to the original. This time around we follow a grown-up Rusty Griswold (Ed Helms) who surprises his wife, Debbie (Christina Applegate), and their two sons with a cross-country trip to — you guessed it — Walley World. Ahead of a release this summer, the first raunchy red band trailer has now arrived.
Marking the directorial debut of Horrible Bosses writers Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, we’re quite surprised at the amount of laughs to be had here. Attempting to riff off the reboot idea akin to 21 Jump Street, hopefully it’s as successful as that franchise. Also starring Leslie Mann, Skyler Gisondo, Steele Stebbins, Chris Hemsworth (who looks to steal the show with Thor’s hammer, so to speak), and a cameo or two from familiar faces, check out the trailer below.
