What lengths would you go to for a certain amount of money? That’s the question that E.L. Katz‘s twisted-looking Cheap Thrills asks. Following its success at South by Southwest Film Festival earlier this year — where it not only acquired a midnight audience awards, but acquisition from Drafthouse Films — the first international trailer has now landed.

Following Pat Healy (last seen in the perhaps equally disturbing Compliance) as a down-and-out new dad who is in need of financial security, we said, “on the surface, Cheap Thrills is a terrifyingly gnarly look at our human limits, but underneath is a cleverness and exploration of its themes that truly shine.” Check out the trailer and poster below for the film also starring Ethan Embry, Sara Paxton, David Koechner and Amanda Fuller.

Drafthouse Films will release Cheap Thrills, but haven’t set a specific date yet.
