Elizabeth Banks Takes ‘Walk of Shame’ In First Trailer

Written by on January 16, 2014

While the morning after what perhaps is a poor decision has been captured in many comedies, we’ve got one coming this spring that will dedicate its entire runtime to the event. Yes, Walk of Shame follows Elizabeth Banks as a news reporter that has a wild night with James Marsden, only to find out she must cut it off early if she wants her dream job.

The first trailer has landed today, which looks to sell a fairly broad comedy, but with Banks proving her comedic chops in the recent surprise Pitch Perfect, hopefully this falls into the same category. The participation of writer-director Steven Brill (Drillbit Taylor, Mr. Deeds) has us a bit deterred, but one can check out the trailer below for the film also starring James Marsden, Gillian Jacobs and Sarah Wright.

After losing an audition for her dream job, an aspiring Los Angeles TV news anchor goes out for an uncharacteristic night of partying. She awakes in a stranger’s bed to a phone message from her agent telling her the job is hers, if she can make it across town by 5 pm. Stranded in an unknown area without money, a phone, and a car, she embarks on a series of misadventures as she races to the most important job interview of her life.

Walk of Shame opens on April 25th in theaters and on VOD.
