After taking on William Shakespeare with this directorial debut Coriolanus, Ralph Fiennes is jumping to Charles Dickens with The Invisible Woman. Losing the gritty style and opting for a more appropriate elegant period piece design, the drama recently premiered at TIFF and as it stops by NYFF, the first trailer has landed today.

The romantic drama follows a young Felicity Jones and her relationship with the famous author, alongside a cast including Kristin Scott Thomas, Tom Hollander and more. The reviews seemed to be mixed for this one and this trailer is a bit too dry for my tastes, but one can check it out below, along with the first two clips and the full Toronto International Film Festival press conference.

The Invisible Woman opens on December 25th.
