Set for a release next week, Woody Allen‘s Blue Jasmine features yet another eclectic ensemble, this time including two comedians among the cast. Andrew Dice Clay and Louis C.K. both play significant others to Sally Hawkins‘ character and according to an interview with The New York Times, it likely won’t be the last time we’ll see one of them with the helmer.

After discussing how he first came upon Louis C.K.’s talents in a skit with Bobby Cannavale (who would go on to co-star in the film), Allen says,” I’d love to do a movie with him and me, a comedy. I’m looking for some idea that would work, for the two of us to do.” He adds that he “wasn’t able to get the right idea” for the film, so went to his next effort with Colin Firth and Emma Stone.

Allen adds that “some day, I will get something that we could do together, because I do think it would be fun. I’m such a great fan of his.” We sincerely hope this one comes to fruition, but in the meantime, check out a clip from Jasmine below, along with the aforementioned skit, and read more of the interview, which hints at a return to stand-up for the director.

Blue Jasmine opens on July 26th.
