Watch: Paul Thomas Anderson-Directed Music Video For Fiona Apple’s ‘Hot Knife’

Written by on July 24, 2013

As Paul Thomas Anderson continues production on his follow-up to The Master, an adaptation of Thomas Pynchon‘s Inherent Vice, a treat has landed today that should hold some over until we get a teaser for the aforementioned project. Re-teaming with his ex-girlfriend Fiona Apple, he’s directed her latest music video.

From last year’s album The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do, “Hot Knife” is a catchy track made all the better by PTA’s visuals, with the locations seemingly not far removed from a few set-ups in The Master. Edited by Brendan Walsh, check it out below thanks to Pitchfork and head on over to Cigs & Red Vines for more videos featuring the collaborators, including”Paper Bag”, “Fast As You Can” and “Limp.”

What do you think of the music video?
