With the review embargo lifted for Peter Jackson‘s return to Middle-earth, its seems as though the consensus for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is a middling one. Many seemed to be critical of the dragged-out initial hour, but pleased at moments of grand spectacle through-out, while few could make their mind up about 48FPS.
As the film debuts in just ten days, audiences will be able to provide their take, but this morning, we’ve got a preview of the blockbuster with five separate clips totaling around six minutes, as well as twenty-five minutes of behind-the-scenes b-roll. I’ll be waiting to experience this in theaters, but curious eyes can take a look below at the clips and the other footage on the next page.
