It’s been over 15 years since Warren Beatty last got behind the camera and after many rumors, he’s now in production on a Howard Hughes biopic. With Lily Collins portraying the woman with whom Hughes (Beatty) shared a relationship during his later years, Alden Ehrenreich as her more stable love interest, himself an assistant to the legendary film producer and aviator, as well as Annette Bening, Candice Bergen and Matthew Broderick in other roles , we now have another addition. Deadline reports that Martin Sheen has an unknown role for the film that we expect to arrive by next year.

After a strong 2013 with Bastards and Something in the AirLola Créton has booked another role. According to ToutleCine (and translated by Indiewire) the star has taken a role alongside Bastien Bouillon in an adaption of  Irène Némirovsky‘s Deux by director Anne Villacèque. The film, set between the World War follows the duo as tragic couple who get married despite losing their passion. Production will kick off in April.

With Charlize Theron taking on two very different projects that’ll be released this year (the studio comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West and the drama Dark Places), she’s now lined up another potential feature. Deadline reports that Universal Pictures have picked up Karen Croner‘s pitch for her adaptation of Ellen Shanman‘s novel Everything Nice with Theron looking to lead and produce. The film will track her as an advertising executive who loses her job and transitions to working as a life skill teacher for teenagers at a public school.

After being on a tear the last few months with The Wolf of Wall Street, True Detective, American Hustle, and Non-Stop, Shea Whigham has lined up his next role. THR reports that he’ll be joining Vince Vaughn and Hailee Steinfeld in Term Life, coming from Peter Billingsley. Also starring Jonathan Banks, Bill Paxton, Mike Epps, William Levy and Jordi Molla, the film follows Vaughn, whose being hunted by the mob and dirty cops and takes out a million-dollar life insurance policy for his daughter. With it not being put into place for three weeks, he must struggle to stay alive. Whigham is taking the role of a detective for the film already in production for a likely 2015 release.
