Following up playing Mister Rogers in the upcoming A Wonderful Day in the Neighborhood, Tom Hanks will taking on the role of a different kind of icon in Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming biopic on Elvis Presley. No, Hanks will not be playing the King of Rock and Roll, but rather his manager, Colonel Tom Parker, reports Variety.

Parker became responsible for much of the success in Presley’s career but also for lots of tumultuous moments in his life, including his addiction to drugs and other woes. His first film since 2013’s The Great Gatsby, Warner Bros. is set to release the film, which hopes to begin production this year.
