The fun version of the Oscars just got a whole lot more enjoyable, as The Golden Globes have announced their 2013 hosts. Taking over for Ricky Gervais last year, the 70th annual awards show will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. The comedic duo make for a perfect fit for the ceremony, which is due to air on the same channel as their hit shows Parks and Recreations and 30 Rock, NBC. In line with the Academy Awards, who picked up Family Guy‘s Seth MacFarlane, the organization also seems to gear to the younger crowed wit this choice.

NBC honcho Paul Telegdy chimed in, saying, “Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year’s festivities is a major coup. Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on SNL to their successful co-starring roles in Baby Mama.” As for the actual awards, hopefully the HFPA will be more in line than the Oscars last year, actually recognizing such films as Shame and 50/50 with nominations , while giving The Descendants their major dramatic prize.
