Easily one of the most enticing films of the spring is the next directorial effort from Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance, the sprawling crime drama The Place Beyond the Pines. After premiering at Toronto International Film Festival, we said the film’s “ambition alone shows its director is not a one-hit wonder,” and now Focus Features is gearing up for a release this March.
Aside from a trailer, we got an early teaser poster, but now the theatrical version has arrived that is using a very similar stormy style, but this one adds our main trio. One can see the floating heads of Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper and Eva Mendes, as well as the bank our lead robs in the film. Check it out below thanks to IMDb, for the film also starring Dane DeHaan, Ben Mendelsohn, Ray Liotta, Rose Byrne, Bruce Greenwood, Mahersala Ali and Emory Cohen.
The Place Beyond the Pines opens on March 29th.
