With pre-production heavily underway, Ender’s Game casting details continue to pour in. Deadline has informed us that Nonso Anozie has been cast in the film adaptation of Orson Scott Card‘s novel.

After standing out in Joe Carnahan‘s ensemble of The Grey and entering the world of Game of Thrones, it seems that Anozie is a rising star we need to look out for. He will be playing the role of Sergeant Dap for the film, while he stars opposite Harrison Ford, Ben Kingsley, Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin and Asa Butterfield as Ender. Joyful Noise‘s Stevie Ray Dallimore has also been cast in the role of Ender’s father, John, with Andrea Powell playing the role of his mother.

For those who aren’t familiar with the books, they explore a world “70 years after a horrific alien war” where an “unusually gifted child is sent to an advanced military school in space to prepare for a future invasion.” Along with the upcoming Hunger Games adaptation, Ender’s Game is upon the list of anticipated science-fiction thriller adaptations to hit theaters in the coming years. Gavin Hood is set to direct, with production starting this month in New Orleans.

Ender’s Game will hit theaters March 15, 2013.
