Due to Chuck Norris not liking naughty words, rumors were flung around today that Simon West‘s The Expendables 2 would have to be PG-13 in order for the Walker, Texas Ranger to star. Harry, the film is fantastic with Van Damme turning in an inspired performance… Our final battle is one for the ages. The PG13 rumor is true, but before your readers pass judgement, trust me when I say this film is LARGE in every way and delivers on every level. This movie touches on many emotions which we want to share with the broadest audience possible, BUT, fear not, this Barbeque of Grand scale Ass Bashing will not leave anyone hungry…Sly
If a sequel to The Expendables was worth caring about, what does it matter if it was PG-13? If it means the mountains of cheesy, fake blood are cut and the ridiculously hammy and forced machismo elements are toned down, then by all means. Add in how much the PG-13 rating gets away with these days, and I’m sure fans have much more than the MPAA decision to be worried about when it comes to another possibly tedious outing with this group. I’m already getting flashbacks of when the crew said how much the first film “delivers on every level,” before we actually saw the finally product. Check out the teaser below.
