While she has the documentary The 13th arriving this fall, Selma director Ava DuVernay‘s next narrative feature will be Disney’s big-budget remake of A Wrinkle in Time. THR reports that, following Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling are now in talks to star in the adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s book. The film follows a young girl whose father has gone missing while he was away working on a project curiously known as the tesseract. She’s added by Mrs. Whatsit (Witherspoon), Mrs. Who (Kaling) and Mrs. Which (Winfrey). Production kicks off in November.

daniel_radcliffeStranger Than Fiction director Zach Helm has found his next project, led by Daniel Radcliffe and Zachary Quinto, Deadline reports. We Do Not Forget follows the true story of the battle between the infamous hacking group Anonymous and the Mexican drug cartel, which seems like a bit of an uneven fight. The project is backed by First Look Media, who state their excitement to work with Helm: “It’s a subject that we’re close to, handled in a way that’s powerful and complex. And to be in the hands of producers Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick and this talented cast, we’re sure we’re going to get a thrilling film.”

Lastly, James Franco has teamed with Demian Gregory in a deal to produce four feature films ranging from $15 million to $20 million, and according to Deadline the first of these is an adaptation of the best-selling book The Game. Unrelated to David Fincher’s late-90’s thriller of the same name, this Game is penned by Neil Strauss and is all about the art of the pick-up game: part memoir, part how-to guide. Franco will star as a character named Mystery, a wingman to whomever will play Strauss.

Of the book, Strauss himself is well aware of the impact it has had: ““Nearly every person I meet has a strong opinion on The Game, whether they’ve read it or not. For some, it changed their lives and led to marriage and children. For others, it is the one of the most terrifying things to ever happen to the dating world. For me, it is both, but I’m forever grateful for my time in the underground world of pick-up artists because it showed me that a guy who had given up all hope of ever being comfortable with himself and others could change.”
